Who the heck are we?

VENUS IN VINYL is - you guessed it... - a website about turles, bunnies and keyboard cats. And also, music. And by music, we mean everything that revolves around music, that is inpired by music and the way in which music affects (or destroys!) our lives. 

“What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? We love the type of jazz that makes you wanna drink and smoke and write. We like the rockabilly music that makes you wanna grease up your hair and get a "chicky race" going on. We love the blues that grabs you by the throat and the heart. We love the swing of the flappers and the suffragettes. We like the indie music of impromptu parties in abandoned warehouses or run down parking lots. We like the folk music that makes you wanna start a riot. We love the bossanova that laugh with joy and cry with sadness at the same time. We love the classical music that makes you one with the universe and all its wonderful creations. We love the soul and funk of booty bass. And so on...

Hey! Why not contribute to the website?? The idea is to create a mass web based community around the concept of music and what it makes us feel. So, therefore, don't worry too much about the way in which you write stuff, so long as it says something, we might just want to publish it.

And censorship is censored. This website is a free country. The only thing that's not allowed is hate and bullying.

Also...we'd love to discover some undiscovered talent. Why not send us in your tunes? Go on...do it!
